As a result of the agreement, passengers of Vietnam’s national flag carrier can fly on Aeroflot flights on air routes between Hanoi City and HCMC and Moscow, and from Moscow to the cities of St. Petersburg, Ufa and Krasnodar.
Also, Aeroflot’s passengers can travel on Vietnam Airlines flights from Hanoi City to Moscow; from Hanoi City to HCMC, Phu Quoc Island and Nha Trang City; and from HCMC to Phu Quoc Island and Nha Trang City.
As for passengers seeking connecting flights, they need only book tickets and conduct flight procedures once with Vietnam Airlines or Aeroflot for their entire trip.
Apart from the codeshare cooperation, the two carriers will further expand their partnership to other services such as parking lots, in-flight meals and aircraft and goods maintenance in the coming years to bring the best benefits to their passengers.
Aeroflot operates seven weekly flights between the Russian capital of Moscow and Hanoi City and two others from Moscow to HCMC.
Meanwhile, VNA is operating three weekly flights on direct air routes connecting Hanoi City and Moscow on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The carrier transported 23,000 passengers on Vietnam-Russia routes in the first four months of this year.
