The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, fell for a sixth day, dropping 1 percent to 371.75, the lowest close since May 2009.
Becamex Infrastructure Development Joint-Stock Co. (IJC) , which develops real estate, fell 2.2 percent to 9,100 dong. Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam will sell 2 million shares in the company to cut its holding to 4.7 million shares, according to a statement on the exchange’s website.
Nam Viet Joint-Stock Co. (NAV) , a Ho Chi Minh City-based property developer, jumped 4.6 percent to 6,800 dong. The company will pay its shareholders a dividend of 1,200 dong a share on Jan. 18, it said in a statement filed on the bourse’s website.
