Stock market briefs on Sept 25, 2018

HCMC – Dong Phu Rubber Company (DPR) will pay a dividend of VND3,000 per share for 2017 in November. Currently, the firm has 43 million outstanding shares. Between January and August, the company sold nearly 7,500 tons of rubber latex at the average price of VND34.7 million per ton. DPR earned a pre-tax profit of VND210.6 billion from its revenue of VND493 billion in the period, up 13% and down 8% year-on-year, respectively.

HCMC – Nguyen Viet Thang, deputy general director of Hoa Phat Group (HPG), sold 1.3 million shares out of the registered volume of 1.5 million shares of HPG from August 23 to September 21. Thang is now holding over 6.8 million shares at the steel maker, equal to a 0.32% stake.

HCMC – Dry Cell and Storage Battery Company (PAC) has announced October 8 as the ex-dividend date for shareholders to receive a 2018 first round dividend in cash at 8%. The firm will make payments on October 25.

HANOI – Viglacera Corporation (VGC) said the firm’s earnings from real estate business rose 49.1% year-on-year to VND297 billion in January-August, exceeding its target by 7%. Regarding the construction material sector, VGC is targeting the mid- and high-end segments. Currently, VGC is operating 10 industrial zones with a combined area of 3,000 hectares. In the first half of this year, VGC earned a net profit of VND360.8 billion from its revenue of nearly VND4.2 trillion, down 12.2% and 2.5% year-on-year, respectively.

HANOI – Artex Securities Company (ART) will start trading over 37 million shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange on September 28. The reference price is set at VND8,100 per share, lower than its closing price on the last session on the market for unlisted public firms, or UPCoM, at VND9,134. Earlier, the firm sold nearly 108.7 million shares to the public, raising over VND1 trillion.

HANOI – Pyn Elite Fund has offloaded over one million shares of Thang Long Investment Group (TIG), marking the third sale within this month. The investor is holding nearly 5.4 million shares at TIG, or a 6.98% stake. The TIG share price is around VND3,000 on the Hanoi market.
