PNJ: Makes VND93Bln Net Profit in Q1/2012

The HOSE-listed company generated net revenue of VND1.85 trillion in the quarter, much lower than VND3.56 trillion over the same period of last year.

However, financial income increased to VND21.6 billion in the quarter from VND13.66 billion a year ago, the firm said.

Selling expenses and general and administrative expenses decreased 7.8% and 20.1% on year to VND51.3 billion and VND15.5 billion in the quarter.

Besides, the firm posted VND9.3 billion other profit in the quarter, up 58-fold from VND159.16 million a year ago.

The holding company had total assets of VND2.66 trillion at the end of the year, against VND2.68 trillion at the beginning of the year.
