Nguyen Khoa Luan, CEO of Anh Viet Hop On Hop Off Vietnam Co., Ltd, said the company had prepared six 90-seater buses for the service.
According to the proposal sent to the HCMC government and the municipal Departments of Transport and Tourism, the buses will be operated on two routes in the downtown area. There will be 24 services a day.
The ticket price will be VND475,000 (US$20.3) for adults and VND350,000 for children. Kids less than five years old will be exempted from the fare.
However, the ticket price will be reduced to VND350,000 in the first six months to attract passengers.
Luan told the Saigon Times that his company is designing images which will be painted on the exterior of buses while waiting for the competent agencies’ decision.
The company has cooperated with another to operate the service in Hanoi. It is also the provider of hop-on-hop-off city tours, using normal buses, to serve international tourists in HCMC.
