Put-through trading contributed 2.7 million shares worth VND90.64 billion. We saw 1 million CSG shares changed hands for VND10,000 each.
The market breadth turned negative on the primary bourse where 49 stocks advanced, 230 tumbled, 30 closed unchanged, and 12 stocks were untraded.
The VNIndex slumped 9.4% this month – the first losing month in 2012, trimming this year’s gains to 22%,
The VN30 Index lost 6.31 points, or 1.23%, to 507.07 with 2 advancers, 26 decliners and 2 unchanged.
Sacombank Securities (SBS), the most active stock on a trade of 2.5 million shares, rose 3.77% to end at VND5,500.
Hoang Quan Consulting Trading Service Real Estate Corporation (HQC), coming second in liquidity with 1.8 million shares changed hands, shed 3.7% to settle at VND5,200.
Sao Mai Construction Corporation (ASM) nosedived 4.43% to VND15,100 on a trade of 1.6 million shares trading hands – third most active.
Heavy weighs VCB, GAS, BVH were all losers, MSN stayed unchanged.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX index dropped 1.55 points, or 2.05%, to end at 74.07. Market volume was up 36% from a day earlier, totaling 44 million shares valued at VND437 billion, up 26%.
The gauge slumped 7.25% this month – the first time in 2012, trimming this year’s rally to 26%.
The market breadth was very negative, 45 rallied, 212 tumbled, 45 closed unmoved, and 95 were untraded.
VNDirect Securities (VND), the most active on the measure with 3.3 million shares changed hands, shed 4.96% to VND11,500.
PetroVietnam Construction (PVX), coming second in liquidity on a trade of 3 million units, dived 3% to end at VND9,700 per share.
Sai Gon Thuong Tin Real Estate Joint Stock Company (SCR) retreated 4% to close at VND14,400 on a trade of 2 million shares – the third most active.
