Vietnam is estimated to have attracted $4.27 billion foreign direct investment (FDI) fund in the first four months of this year, the general statistics Office (GSO) said on its latest release on April 25, 2012.

Vietnam consumer price index (CPI) in May is foreseen to rise in higher level compared with that of April, the local news provider Gafin.vn reported, citing the domestic market regulation’s forecast.

Disbursement of foreign direct investment (FDI) hit US$3.61 billion in the first four months of this year, representing a modest decrease of 0.3 per cent against same period last year, according to Foreign Investment Agency statistics.

Vietnam’s industrial production index (IIP) rose by 4.3% on year in the Jan- April 2012, the statistics office said it is latest released on April 25, adding that this is the lowest increase level over the past five years.
