• Vietnam’s May CPI to Rise to 0.15%: NDHMoney
  Vietnam’s May 2012 consumer price index (CPI) is forecast to accelerate to +0.15% increase from April 2012, analysts with the local news provider NDH Money forecast.

• Vietnam’s GDP Growth Forecast at 4.5% in Q2/2012: Government
  Vietnam’s economy is forecast to grow 4.5% in the second quarter of the year, the Government said in its additional report on eco-society situation in 2011 and plans in 2012 which will be presented at the Congress ‘s third meeting session on May 21.

• Vietnam’s Inflation to Slowdown to 7.9% in Q4/2012: Standard Charter Bank
  Vietnam is forecast to slowdown its inflation to 10.9% in Q2/2012 and 7.9% in the Q4/2012, the Standard Charter bank said in its research report on Vietnam economy in Q2/2012.

• Vietnam Has VND350Tln Government Bonds Outstanding: Source
  Vietnam currently has about VND350 trillion of government bonds outstanding in the market, equivalent to 13.4% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP), according to the Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA).

• Deposit Rates May Fall to Below 10%: Source
  The deposit interest rates are likely to ease to 10% per annum by the end of this year.

• Inbound Remittances to HCM City Estimated at $1.5Bln in Q1
  Ho Chi Minh City is estimated to see $1.28 billion inbound remittance in the first quarter of this year.

• Vietnam Dong May Weaken by 4.3% in 2012: Standard Chartered
  The domestic currency, the dong, could lose by 3.4% of its value against the dollar this year, Standard Chartered Bank said in its latest report.
