  Vietnam attracted US$1.23 billion from foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first two months of 2012.

• Vietnam Heating Gas Prices Rise VND62,000/12-Canister From March 1, 2012
  Gas prices in Vietnam rise by VND62,000 per 12-kg cylinder from March 1st, 2012 following suit of world gas price trend, the local newspaper Dantri reported.

• Commercial Rice Volume Surges, Price Volatility Predicted
  This year’s winter-spring crop in the Mekong Delta will be a bumper one, yielding about 10.5 million tons of paddy (unhusked rice), including some four million tons of commercial rice, which may pull down the price, the agriculture ministry said.
