The gauge of 298 companies and five mutual funds listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange resurrected 0.66 percent, or 2.72 points, to close at 412.1 points.
Among the index members, 92 increased, 115 declined, while 96 remained unchanged.
Trading on the city bourse rose by 13 percent in volume, and nearly 50 percent in value as more than 25.28 million shares changed hands at a total value of VND566 billion.
Hoang Quan Consulting – Trading – Service Real Estate Corporation (HQC) was the most active share by volume with 1.55 million shares changing hands.
It was followed by Becamex Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company (IJC) with 1.15 million shares.
Licogi 16 Joint Stock Company (LCG) tagged along with 917,000 shares traded.
Viky Plastic Joint Stock Company (VKP) sprang 7.14 percent to VND1,500.
Lix Detergent Joint Stock Company (LIX) resumed its rising streak, accelerating 4.97 percent to VND33,800.
Dam Sen Water Park Corporation (DSN) climbed 4.87 percent to close at VND23,700.
Basa Joint Stock Company (BAS) dumped 5.88 percent to close at VND1,600.
Phu Tai Joint Stock Company (PTB) submerged 4.96 percent to VND13,400.
Saigon Beer Transportation Joint Stock Company (SBC) slipped 4.93 percent to VND13,500.
The Hanoi’s HNX-Index of the smaller bourse in the north inched up 0.37 percent, or 0.25 points, to finish at 67.97 points. Around 21.26 million shares changed hands at a value of VND217.7 billion.
Meanwhile, the UPCoM-Index of unlisted shares lost 0.23 percent, or 0.07 points, to 30.36 points at 1:45 pm local time. A total of 54,700 shares changed hands at a value of VND328 million.
