The Vietnam Real Estate Association (VNREA) held a press conference on August 15 in Hanoi to launch the International Real Estate Conference 2018 (IREC), to take place from September 5 to 7 at the National Convention Center and National Exhibition Construction Center.
Attending the press conference were Mr. Nguyen Tran Nam, former Deputy Minister of Construction, Chairman of VNREA, and Head of the Organizing Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Manh Khoi, Deputy Director General of the Housing and Real Estate Market Management Agency at the Ministry of Construction.
The National Association of Realtors (NAR) in the US will hold IREC 2018 in Vietnam. This is the fourth conference it has organized, with previous editions in the Philippines in 2015, South Korea in 2016, and Thailand in 2017.
With the theme “Vietnam – A World of Opportunities”, activities within IREC 2018 include the Conference of Real Estate Associations, forums on trends in global real estate market development, conferences on investment promotion, and the VietBuild real estate exhibition.
Mr. Nam told the press conference that IREC 2018 will promote a spirit of exchange and connect leading real estate associations and businesses around the world. “This is an opportunity to meet and be inspired by successful businesspeople and the only opportunity to introduce products and services to more than 1,000 guests in the real estate sector from many countries.”
He also noted that the three-day conference is an opportunity for managers, experts and business leaders to submit ideas for discussion, help resolve barriers, stimulate potential, and promote the sustainable development of the real estate sector, contributing to socioeconomic development. “The chance to link with investors will help Vietnam businesses confirm their position in the international market,” he said.
IREC 2018 is expected to welcome more than 500 international visitors from nearly 30 countries, including the US and South Korea and from Southeast Asian countries and elsewhere, such as real estate association leaders and real estate developers. It is expected to also see the participation of thousands of delegates from Vietnam, such as leaders of government, central and local ministries, and sectors, economic experts, and Vietnam’s real estate business community.
