HOSE to Launch VN30 from Feb 6, 2012

Today (Jan 30, 2012): the list of 30 stocks in the VN30  and 10 stand-by ones will be announced  with their free float shares and free float rate (f%). The list is not yet available as of 12:00 today.

February 03 HOSE will announced the weight of each stock in the 30 stock component.

The VN30 has the following characteristics: the index is comprised of 30 listed stocks which are selected based on 3 criteria: market capitalization; free-float rate being multiple of 5 (%) and transaction value.

These 30 stocks are listed on HOSE, having highest market capitalization and liquidity, accounting for approximately 80% market cap and 60% market trading value, the bourse said.

The weight of stock in the index is limited at 10% maximum. The index will be calculated every 1 minutes and adjusted every 6 months in Jan and July each year. Changes will be applied from Monday of the 4^th week in Jan or July.
