The report showed that a worker in HCMC is paid US$456, or VND10.37 million, per month on average compared to the country’s average of VND6.5 million.
The capital city of Hanoi, despite its position as the second largest city of the country, ranked only fifth in average monthly wage with US$407 (VND9.3 million).
The central coast city of Danang registered the second highest average salary with US$452 (VND10.25 million) a month. Binh Duong and Bac Ninh provinces took the third and fourth places with the highest average salaries of US$444 and US$421 a month respectively.
