Google rolls out Google Assistant in Vietnamese

The artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistant only runs on the Android operating system. However, the virtual assistant will be available on iPhones, which use the iOS operating system, in the next few weeks.

In combination with Machine Learning, Google Assistant is expected to become users’ private assistant, helping them with multiple tasks from checking the weather and searching for locations to adjusting hardware settings on the user’s device through natural voices speaking the Vietnamese language.

At the launch ceremony, a representative of Google noted that Google Assistant would be perfected if the number of users rose.

The virtual assistant is able to learn popular phrases and sentences in Vietnamese from the user community, the representative explained.

Google Assistant will connect with all of Google’s features and apps such as Google Photos, Google Search and Google Maps to finish users’ verbal commands.

To use Google Assistant in Vietnamese, users were advised to change the language on their devices to the Vietnamese language.
