• Hanoi to Run $0.86Bln Trade Deficit In Feb 2012: Hanoi’s GSO
  Vietnam’s capital Hanoi is estimated to run $0.861 billion trade deficit in February 2012, the Hanoi’s General Statistics Office (GSO) said.

• Hanoi ‘s February CPI Accelerates to 1.45%: GSO
  Hanoi consumer price index (CPI) is estimated to have increased by 1.45% on-month and 15.64% on-year in February 2012, the Hanoi’s General Statistics Office (GSO)said.

• Vietnam Aims at $14-16Bln ODA Disbursement until 2015
  Vietnam is expecting to disburse $2.8-3.2 billion Official Development Assistance (ODA) annually from now to 2015, according to a project recently approved by the Prime Minister.

• Vietnam Urges to Restructure SOEs
  Vietnam Government is speeding up restructure of the State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) by setting up relatively short deadlines for projects’ submission and approval.

• Vietnam Dong Forecasted to Be More Stable in 2012: HSBC
  The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) on February 15 released its report on Vietnam’s macroeconomic outlook for 2012, in which it forecasted that the domestic currency, the dong, will become more stable this year.

• Vietnam Stocks May Rally as Inflation Eases, Dragon Capital Says
  Vietnam stocks, Asia’s third-best performers this year, are cheap and equities may rally in the next two quarters as slowing inflation prompts the central bank to cut interest rates, according to Dragon Capital Group Ltd.

• Vietnam Stock Exchanges to Launch Afternoon Trading Session From March 5, 2012
  Vietnam stock exchanges are allowed to pilot afternoon trading session in 03 months starting from March 5, 2012, the State Securities Commission (SSC) said in the official document No 463/UBCK-PTTT.

• Feb 20: Foreigners Net Buy On HOSE and Net Sell On HNX
  Foreigners extended their position of net buyers on the primary bourse HOSE and rebounded to be net sellers on HNX on Monday. Level of participation decreased.
