· Vietnam Belongs toTop 10 Highest Global Consumer Index Group By End 2011
Consumer confidence in Vietnam rose in the last months of 2011, sending Vietnam back to top 10 countries having the highest global consumer index, the local media VnExpress reported the survey result conducted by Nielsen.

· Vietnam Central Bank Must Prepare Plan to Resolve Bank Liquidity Problem in Q1/2012
Vietnam government issued Resolution No. 03 on Feb 8, in which it asked the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) to prepare plan to resolve liquidity problem of the local banking system within the first quarter of 2012.

· Vietnam Bonds Gain as Central Bank May Take Steps to Boost Cash
Vietnam’s bonds rose on speculation policy makers will take steps to improve the supply of cash in the banking system, boosting demand for government securities. The dong strengthened.

· Vietnam Telecom Revenues Rise 23% in January
January revenues of Vietnam’s post and telecommunications industry went up 23 percent year-on-year to VND 11.1 trillion.

· Vietnam Listed Banks Enjoy 35% Profit Growth Despite Economic Difficulty
Pretax profits of nine listed commercial banks [CTG, VCB, STB, EIB, ACB, MBB, HBB, SHB and NVB] totaled VND29.202 trillion in 2011, up 35% on year, the local online newspaper Tri Thuc Tre (TTVN) reported, citing banks’ financial statements.
