FastBike Pro launched in HCMC

FastGo, a vehicle hailing app from the FastGo Vietnam Co., part of the NextTech Group, was officially launched in Ho Chi Minh City on August 10 with the FastBike Pro service.

After more than a month of operating in Hanoi, FastGo has already seen significant achievements for a tech product developed by Vietnamese and is gradually winning over customers. More than 6,000 taxi and business vehicles were registered in the FastGo system, over 25,000 calls for vehicles were made, and nearly 20,000 customers registered and installed the FastGo app.

Five thousand customers have taken at least one trip with FastGo and it has also partnered with 25 taxi companies.

“Ho Chi Minh City has the potential to develop strongly and also be more competitive than other markets,” said Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuat, General Director of FastGo Vietnam. “The expansion effort in Ho Chi Minh City will inherit the experience gained in Hanoi and be a launchpad for FastGo to continue to expand into different market in the future.”

At the launch event, FastGo’s strategic partners in the field of electronic payment – MasterCard and the Vietnam Post Insurance Corporation (PTI) – introduced special promotion programs for customers. MasterCard will refund VND10,000 ($0.43) to FastGo accounts after every trip and pay the same figure to the driver, while PTI will donate VND20,000 ($0.86) for each trip using the PTI20 promotion code or when customers pay by QR Code from August 18 to September 18. FastGo also offered 5,000 FastBike trips at a special price of VND5,000 ($0.21) for the first 5 km of 5,000 trips.

FastGo is a “Made in Vietnam” hailing app with convenient payment by cash or credit and debit cards. It continually offers other promotions, such as refunding customers VND30,000 ($1.28) to VND50,000 ($2.1) when using cards.
