As of March 2, 132 trucks carrying farm produce, fruits and vegetables, electronic accessories, and garments and textiles were approved to enter China through the Huu Nghi border gate in the northern province of Lang Son, while over 360 vehicles of products from China were eligible to enter Vietnam.
However, there still remain 125 trucks of agro products and electronic accessories waiting for customs clearance to enter China, reported VietnamPlus news site, citing data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
As for import-export activities at the Tan Thanh border gate in the province, 284 trucks, mainly transporting dragon fruits, watermelons, mangoes and jackfruits, are awaiting clearance for export.
Meanwhile, 101 trucks of these fruits were allowed to enter China and 36 others were licensed for transporting onions, garlic and fresh mushrooms to Vietnam.
The border gates of Coc Nam and Chi Ma are in a similar situation, with 19 queuing trucks in total.
Further, as recorded at Hoanh Mo border gate in Quang Ninh Province, eight trucks containing farm produce for export have yet to be cleared by customs, in addition to 10 trucks loaded with frozen food.
The border gate of Mong Cai in Quang Ninh also recorded 420 queuing trucks loaded with frozen food and fried commodities.
In addition, as many as 200 trucks carrying dragon fruit, watermelons, bananas, mangoes and jackfruit have not been cleared for customs at the Kim Thanh II border gate.
