Vietnamese stocks edged up in the morning session as bargain hunters came back after recent correction but liquidity stayed low on rising caution.

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 130 unlisted public companies continued closing down on Monday, following primary bourse HOSE. Liquidity increased.

Vietnamese stocks continued to close mixed today with liquidity fell to 3 week low as both buyers and sellers were more cautious and did not made any big move amid the news of slowing down CPI and rising fuel prices.

The State Securities Commission (SSC), the stock market watchdog, has announced to put 6 securities companies under special watch because their Capital Adequacy to total risks fell under 120% from today April 23.

Selling shares to strategic foreign investors, issuing bonds abroad and M&A are three feasible options for banks to raise their capital at this time.

Vietnamese stocks closed the morning session in green as bargain hunters came back after recent correction and on expectation that the country CPI continues to ease further in April, liquidity stayed high.

Foreigners changed to be net buyers on both HOSE and HNX on Friday. Level of participation dropped.
