The 49.5 megawatt (MWp) plant in Cat Hiep Commune, Phu Cat District, connected to the grid via a 5.5 km cable system, was built at a cost of VND1.1 trillion (US$47.3 million) by Truong Thanh Group and France’s Quadran International.
It is scheduled to begin commercial operation on June 6, producing 78,000-80,000 MWh of electricity annually.
