  Vietnam Government approved to raise coal price for electricity, the Government office said in its document No.421/VPCP-KTTH sent to the Ministry of Finance (MoF), the local newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong (The Labour) reported.

• Vietnam petroleum wholesalers Propose MoF to Increase Petroleum Retail Prices
  On April 18, Vietnam’s four petroleum wholesalers sent their official documents to the Ministry of Finance (MoF), proposing the ministry to raise petroleum retail prices, the local news providers Gafin.vn reported.

• Vietnam Banks Breach Rate Cap to Draw in Deposits
  Several commercial banks are currently offering above-cap interest rates to lure depositors after the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) announced to cut rates by another 1%, the local newswire VnExpress.net reported, citing its private sources.

• Vietnam Bond Yields Fall to 17-Month Low as Money Rates Decline
  Vietnam’s five-year bonds rose for a fourth day, sending yields to a 17-month low, on speculation a decline in money-market rates will bolster demand for debt. The dong fell.
