In general, outflow across Vietnam’s ETF intensified strongly while demand experienced a substantial decline. In this case, selling pressure may present the next time, however, an expectation that demand will still maintain on some major ETFs in the context that the stock market is showing positive movements.

In general, the inflow was still positive and remained stable. On the other side, there is still notable differentiation in capital allocation, only concentrated on a few ETFs. In this case, the demand for funds in Vietnam is still very optimistic and the expectation of positive inflows will be maintained in the context that the stock market is showing positive movements.

Fundflow 03-07 Jul: Outflow starts to decrease

Outflow across ETFs in Vietnam came back, recorded at USD8mn. In general, the flow of money across Vietnam is weak in the previous week. Therefore, there is a high probability for outflow to still be present in the upcoming weeks.

Inflow across ETFs in Vietnam strongly increased, recorded at USD17mn. In general, inflows into Vietnam still increased and remained on major ETFs. In this case, the demand for funds in Vietnam is still very optimistic and the expectation of positive inflows will be maintained in the context that the stock market is showing positive movements.

Inflow came back to SEA, recorded at USD34mn. Accordingly, inflow across Indonesia’s, Malaysia’s, and Singapore’s major ETFs increased strongly along with selling pressure at Thailand's steeped reduction. Besides, inflow on ETFs in Vietnam backed and recorded at a high level.

Selling pressure from foreign investors remained at a high level. The net selling value was USD24mn. Outflow pressure has dropped across Vietnam with a net outflow of UDS1mn. Although the flow of money across Vietnam is still weak, inflow has come back across major ETFs which is the first sign for the positive flow of money in upcoming weeks.
