Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and company fundamentals, with a primary focus on financial institutions, including banks, securities firms, and asset management companies.

• Independently develop investment theses, build financial models, perform valuation analyses, and formulate investment recommendations.

• Analyze financial statements, earnings quality, profitability, asset quality, and key risk factors to assess company performance and investment potential.

• Prepare high-quality research reports, sector updates, and investment presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.

• Monitor market movements, news flow, and regulatory developments; proactively update financial models, forecasts, and investment recommendations.

• Participate in client meetings, roadshows, and company visits; communicate research findings and collaborate with Sales, Investment Banking, and other internal teams to support business development.

• Take ownership of research projects, review research outputs, mentor junior analysts, and perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Team Leader or Head of Department. 

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in equity research or investment analysis, preferably covering financial institutions, particularly banks and securities firms.

• Strong knowledge of macroeconomics, accounting, financial analysis, and company valuation, with advanced skills in financial modeling, earnings forecasting, and data analysis.

• Proven ability to independently develop investment theses, formulate well-supported investment recommendations, and manage research projects from inception to completion.

• Excellent English writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate and defend investment views to institutional clients and internal stakeholders.

• Strong ownership, analytical judgment, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality research under tight deadlines.

• Ability to review research outputs and mentor junior analysts, with a proactive mindset and commitment to continuous learning and effective use of AI and technology.
