Vietnamese stocks closed down sharply today as investors booked profit after recent hefty gain, liquidity surged.

Foreigners continued to be net sellers of Vietnamese shares on both two bourses today after recent hefty rally.

The UPCoM-Index, the measure of 128 unlisted public companies, fell today as investors took profit following suit the official bourses.

Vietnam commercial banks are allowed to lend to the economy around VND238Tln in the last 4 months of this year, or VND47.6Tln a month.
